Newborn Photo made the cut with Vouge Italia.
Photographers across the globe are sending their photos into Vogue and I decided to join them, I heard they were very selective with who makes the cut, so I decided to spend a few months finding my photography style before submitting any photos. Over these months I achieved Licentiate qualification with the SWPP. Whilst working on my panel of images, my newborn work has been internationally published and won several awards with SWPP, The Guild and BPA. These successes gave me a better idea of which direction I wanted my work to go.
With having a two-photo submission limit to Vogue, I decided to submit my Newborn work. Within an hour one of my photos was selected to fit the Vogue standards, and is now showcased in the portfolio sections of the Vogue Italia website. The photo is of mum holding on to her beautiful baby girl's hands, lying on textured fabric. Like most of my photos, the photo vogue chose to publish tells a story and I believe each viewer will be able to find their own story from the photo.
Seeing my newborn work with the vogue brand attached so soon since setting up my business is a huge accomplishment, and a dream come true. It makes me very excited about the future plans I have with my photography work with my clients and personal projects.
